Inglorious Blogging

Well, I didn't follow through with my notebook to blog idea - YET! A lot has happened since July 28.

Micah is now 13 years old. I can't believe he is a teenager now and I am now the mother of TWO teens. He is 6 ft tall and skinny as a pole. He is taking high school classes in 8th grade - obviously smart. He is so well behaved and polite. I must not be too bad of a mother, huh?

We just celebrated our 14th anniversary on thursday. Technically, it was on wednesday but Naaman had school. I had a great time with him all day. After brunch, we went to see a movie and decided on "Inglorious Basterds". It was actually a pretty good movie although after the 2nd hour I started thinking that the movie might be going a bit long. It was very gory, as Quentin Tarantino movies are, but very good. I would recommend it. I heard Tarantino quoted as saying that he wrote the movie as if history was not written already because the characters don't know what happened. I did think - this is how WW2 should have ended. I recommend it, just not for the kids - DEFINITELY.

Tomorrow, a good friend from college is getting married and I'm going to her wedding. I am so happy for her since she is so happy. I also get the added bonus of seeing another good friend and her baby whom I've never gotten to meet. I am so excited!
